Nkita Allen

Nikita W. Allen

Nikita is a native of Wilson, North Carolina. In 1980 she earned a BS degree in Business Administration & Finance, from Atlantic Christian College (formerly Barton College). She is the wife of Edward Allen, a retired IT Professional. Together they have 3 successful adult children and 7 grandchildren.

For over 20 years, Nikita was the Finance Manager at Wilson Chamber of Commerce ensuring that the Chamber was a responsible steward of member investments. Within the Wilson Community, Nikita has spent her entire life volunteering with a plethora of Community Programs and is a member of Hornes United Methodist Church. She immediately recognizes individual needs and does what it takes in helping to make their lives better. Nikita's journey of faith and kindness will always bring out the best in others. Omar M. Bashi, Esq.

Omar was born in Baghdad, Iraq and is the founding partner of Bashi Law, PLLC, in Raleigh, North Carolina which was established in 2018. After obtaining his education in North Carolina, Omar pursued the American dream of owning his own law firm. Omar's determination and hard work allows him to help individuals achieve the American dream of obtaining Citizenship and Business Ownership.

For Omar, giving back comes from the heart as for him it means assisting others who are less fortunate. Omar's passionate about helping others, as this is what God wants. Omar is a member of the Knights of Columbus who is a charitable and fraternal organization aimed at helping the Catholic community in North Carolina.

Omar is constantly taking Pro Bono cases to help those who need legal assistance and are not always able to pay for it. He helps his clients through affordable payment plans and a compassionate way of thinking. Furthermore, Omar has partnered with the Raleigh City Council to collaborate with immigrant communities over the state on certain events.

Omar believes that food and clothing are basic everyday necessities and when these necessities are met through the kindness of others, individuals are able to focus on obtaining their own American dream and therefore, Omar is able to fulfill his desire of helping others through his law firm at Bashi Law

Kelly Blumenthal

Kelly is a Virginia Real Estate Agent and Barton College Alum from Fredericksburg, VA where she lives with her husband of 14 years and her two boys. She enjoys Community service at its highest availability including serving on several nonprofit boards. Kelly has received multiple Community service awards for her outstanding efforts from organizations such as Make-A-Wish, the American Heart Association, the Kolbe Fund and numerous others.

Kelly has authored the children's book, Faces of Finn which focuses on inclusion and special needs children. The proceeds from this book goes directly to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Kelly believes in giving back to the Community, as it is an investment for the betterment of everyone. She also enjoys spending time with family, their pets, traveling, and decorating. View Kelly at:

Jonathan Clayton

Jonathan Clayton, DVM, Ph.D.

Jonathan received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.) and his Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Comparative and Molecular Biosciences from the University of Minnesota. During his Ph.D., he founded the Primate Microbiome Project.

Jonathan is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska. He has a research program focused on trying to better understand causal mechanisms for microbiome-modulated diseases including neurological/behavioral diseases such as depression. He is a member of the Callitrichid Research Center, Nebraska Food for Health Center, and GreenViet Biodiversity Conservation Center.

Outside of Jonathan's professional endeavors, he believes in giving back to the Community and making a difference for the betterment of mankind. Throughout his life as a native North Carolinian, wherever his professional career has led his journey, he always pauses to make sure his Southern kindness provides for other individuals in need. Jaime Sheehan Craft

Jaime has over 20 years of sales experience in the Software, Service and Hardware Industries, which serves all verticals in the Enterprise space. In 2013, Jaime joined Citrix which later spun off their mobility apps division merging with LogMeIn. Currently Jaime, is the Principal Strategic Enterprise Account Executive at LastPass. Formerly part of the LogMeIn Portfolio. Jaime helps businesses connect and collaborate, support employees and customers, and secure all workforces.

Collegiately Jaime earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Human Resources Management, with honors in Spanish from Barton College, Wilson, North Carolina. While at Barton College, she was a member of Tri Sigma Sorority and Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). Jaime’s dedication to servantship in these organizations surpassed project goals and assisted those in need. Presently at LaftPass, Jaime has led a plethora of volunteer opportunities for the Shepherd's Table Soup Kitchen, which serves the homeless community. 

Jaime is a humble and compassionate leader, who embraces building relationships while spreading joy. Her dedication to various philanthropic opportunities, the children’s school, and Church, concurrently provides Jaime the ability to use talents she is blessed with. Jaime believes that teaching the younger generation the importance of generosity and kindness, is instrumental in sharing the legacy of giving back. Laura Grace D'Angeli

Laura Grace is an American actress, model, and successful founding business owner of LGD Aloha, LLC and MiniMe Bikini. She was born in New Jersey, speaks multiple languages, and is of Italian and Spanish descent. Laura Grace was educated in The Princeton School district and attended Barton College in North Carolina where she studied psychology and marketing.

As a certified Applied Behavior Analyst, she has been recognized by The Washington Times twice with national publications for her behavioral therapy work with autistic children. When Laura Grace is not helping children, giving back to Communities, or building business empires, she can be seen modeling and acting in Spain, Brazil, New York, California, Miami, and Hawaii. Traci Gimbel

Traci Williamson

Traci is the Manager of Tax Executive Institute in Washington, D.C. She works within a dynamic, dedicated team of sales and marketing professionals to execute policy briefings, social engagements, and other events for CQ Roll Call’s advocacy and corporate clients. Traci leads the overall audience acquisition strategy and employs new tactics for attracting audiences. Traci brings over 15 years of experience in the event and media industry, specifically as it relates to Capitol Hill and Policy.

Prior to joining Tax Executive Institute, Traci held multiple positions at Bloomberg Industry Group and The Choice Inc. She is a native Floridian and received her Master’s degree in Event Management from George Washington University’s School of Business. Growing up, Traci developed a strong sense of devotion for the nonprofit sector as she watched her dad start a non-profit homeless shelter from the ground up. Carlos Mercer

Carlos D. Mercer

Carols was born and raised in Greenville, North Carolina. In 2010 he graduated from Barton College, Wilson, North Carolina with a BS degree in Human Resource Management. Carlos then pursued his Master of Arts degrees from Webster University, St. Louis, MO obtaining degrees in Human Resources Management (2012) & Management and Leadership (2014).

Carlos is not a stranger to giving back to any Community. He has served in various capacities with Community Agencies and philanthropic activities throughout North Carolina. Carlos’s participation includes, feeding the hungry, providing warm essentials, and advocating for families in poverty. He is attentive to the needs of others and passionately responds to making a difference.

As an astute communicator in his philanthropic activities, he creates dedicated paths of dignity and respect that supports and encourages individuals in every capacity. Lindsey has been a licensed massage therapist in North Carolina since 2010 after graduating at the top of her class and is the founding owner of Carolina Massage & Wellness, LLC. in Raleigh, North Carolina. She is the mom to three amazing children who are her legacy and the rising stars of the next generation of sharing kindness to others.

Lindsey's Community service began as far back as she could remember, as she always gave a helping hand to those in need. As a massage therapist she is favored with the gift of comforting others to enjoy a healthier lifestyle. Her heart, spirit, and healing capabilities allow for her clients to excel in their earthly journeys and responsibilities. Lindsey believes everyone is gifted in making a difference in the lives of others through time, talent, and treasures. It starts with one person and one act of kindness at a time.

Misty McCoy

Misty has over 25 years of human resources experience, and in 2012 joined Medical City Healthcare located in Texas. Misty is currently serving as the Vice President of Human Resources for Medical City Fort Worth. As part of the HR team during the pandemic, she achieved the division’s primary goal of protecting patients and colleagues.

Misty has always been on the forefront of giving back to Communities, as philanthropy is engrained in her DNA. She believes that philanthropy encourages employees to get involved in Communities and correlates employee’s engagement to their productivity within an organization.

Misty earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies and Human Resources Management from Barton College in Wilson, North Carolina and she is currently completing a dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Human Resources Management from Western Governors University. Lauren Vick

Lauren is a native of North Carolina, proud first responder's firefighter’s wife and mother of two precious children. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Barton College in 2009, where she served as a dedicated member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Spanish Club and Delta Zeta Sorority. Laurens unlimited dedication to these organizations, allowed for a plethora of goals and accomplishments to be exceeded.

Coupled this volunteerism recognition, much of her professional career has been spent serving others; from working in women’s health to her current position with Thanksgiving Elementary in Johnston County. Lauren is currently a teacher at Thanksgiving Elementary School.

While she has accomplished many things in her life, her greatest accomplishment is raising her children to know and love the Lord.
